Mini Jack To RCA Is Small Device With Enormous Applications

Connectors, adapters and cables – these are small devices, almost negligible cables which may not be important to ordinary people. But then, to any technology avid person, connectors are big blessings in getting optimum benefits from a device. Mini jack to RCA are cables which may look ordinary but their value is great especially in the audio system. The utility of the mini jack to RCA connectors have been solutions to many gadget enhancements.

RCA is a connector that has been known for many years. It was more popular with the name phono connector. Its name – RCA – was taken from the company that designed it, Radio Corporation of America. It has been introduced in the market as early as 1940 yet with innovations, it is still found in the cable market and currently enjoying high market demand. RCA has been linked to other different connectors; its applications have been exploited tremendously. The innovations in RCA have paved the way to the emergence of other connectors and improved the electronics industry.

Mini jacks indicate small gadgets. But though they are small, the usefulness is immeasurable to avid users. They are ideal connectors to PC sound cards, to personal CD, MD and MP3 players. They are also useful to HI-Fi amplifiers and DJ mixers. The mini jack to RCA connector is suitable for both analog and digital signals. They are applicable to many digital devices that are in the market today.

Reasons Why A Microphone Extension Cable Is Needed

Microphones are connected to sound – these are used to amplify sound. There are instances when the sound, particularly of voice, needs to be intensified. Volume can be increased through the microphone and the non-wireless models need microphone extension cable. Microphones, designed for louder volume are necessary in several occasions especially when public speaking. As such, they need a microphone extension cable. Originally designed as voice transmitter, microphones today find their utility in various devices.

A microphone is defined as acoustic to electric sensor whose function is to transform sound to electrical signal. Most microphones today use electromagnetic induction to produce electrical voltage. This device is used today in many applications such as telephone, tape recorder, karaoke, hearing aids and many others. Models of microphones can be wireless or with cable wire. A cabled microphone has a physical cable connecting it to the amplifying device. The wireless simply has no cables. Some people would prefer the use of wireless microphones because of the freedom to move while speaking. However, the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. For one, the wireless microphone will be non-functional when the batteries go out of power. Microphones with cable, especially when an extension cable is used, can cover a farther distance.

Extension cables are used to separate the microphone, the preamplifier and the body of suitable CEL sound level meters. In cases where the microphone is to be separated from the amplifying body, standard extension cables can be used. There are several types of microphone extension cables:

C6716/X Microphone extension cable for the CEL-400 series – This is available in different lengths: 15, 30, 60, 100 feet. It is fitted with standard 8 way LEMO plug and socket to suit the CEL-400 series. Cable thickness is 3/16 inches or 4 millimeters.

C6717/X Weatherproof microphone extension cable for CEL-400 series.- Also available in different lengths such as 15, 30, 60, 100 feet. It is also fitted with waterproof 8 way LEMO plug and standard socket. The cable thickness is 4mm or 3/16 inches and its plug width is 14 mm or 9/16 inches. It comes in weatherproof kit cases

C6615/X Microphone extension cable for Cel-500 series -This microphone cable is available in over-all lengths measuring 15 and 30 feet, 5 to 10 meters. It is a 15 way screened cable ensuring that digital from the meter body to the preamplifier is not lost. The cable thickness is ½ inches or 13 mm, the body adapter has a width equal to 3 1/2inches or 50 mm.

C6610/X Weatherproof extension cable for CEL 500 series – This microphone cable is available in 15 and 30 feet, t or 10 meters. It has a 15 way screened cable that ensures preservation of digital data flow when passing from the meter body to the preamplifier. It has a weatherproof kit case. Its cable thickness is ½ inches or 13mm and has a weatherproof plug width measuring 2 inches or 50mm.

Despite the advent of the wireless devices, a quality microphone extension cable is still needed on many occasions. When you want to amplify sound to reach farther distances, the extension cables are valuable devices. You can never discount the utility of extension cables!

High Quality Audio Can Emanate From The RCA To 3.5mm Cable

Are you aware of a connector such as RCA to 3.5mm? What good does it bring to an audio device? The RCA to 3.5mm finds way into many innovated sound devices and the audio output can be affected by this very simple and affordable connector.

An RCA connector, commonly known as phono connector is one kind of electrical connector that carries with it signals from audio and video signals. Deriving its name from Radio Corporation of America, the RCA connector allows mono phonograph devices to be connected to amplifiers that will give out the sound. It was the company – Radio Corporation of America- which introduced the design of this connector in the 1940’s, when the known audio device was still the antiquated phonograph. The RCA connector is a replacement of the older connector known as TRS connectors.

The RCA connectors are still used in today’s technology, only they are linked to other applications. Some cable devices in today’s electronics world are RCA converters.

Stereo Headphone 3.5mm Plug to Dual RCA Plugs

This adapter with RCA and 3.5 mm plug is used in various audio and video devices. The utility found its use in MP3, iPod, DVDs, CDs, PMP, MD, walkman, digital audio pc, laptops and computer sound cards. This 3.5mm stereo plug allows a user to plug to RCA and with it the user can listen to any portable audio device, computer or home theater. To adapt a 3.5 mm sound output into the standard RCA jacks is easy and convenient. Any device with a normal headphone jack connected to any RCA stereo sound input can bring good listening pleasure.

Features and specifications of the stereo headphone 3.5 mm

It would fit into a standard 3.5 mm stereo headphone jack.

It connects to a right and left RCA sound output male connectors.

It utilizes a stereo signal transmission. Beware of the fact that other cables are mono only, not stereo.

It has a very high audio performance.

Connections are properly engineered for a sure proper connection.

The device allows a transfer of full frequency range of every audio system.

The 3.5 mm stereo plug in on the left and right of RCA connector type adaptor.

This device with 2 RCA connectors to one 3.5 mm stereo adapters is short cables that adapt to the RCA stereo cables.

The RCA connectors to one 3.5mm stereo adapters adapt 2 stereo RCA cables to 3.5mm jack.

They come in 2 versions, either male or female RCA connectors. The 3.5 mm plug is always male.

This cable works well in converting sound from computer or any other source that has an output of 3.5mm such as headphone.

Enjoyment of sound, whatever the source is, can be achieved through the use of the RCA audio to 3.5mm cable. The source of sound can be a CD, DVD, MP3 or iPod.

Polarity And Gauge Determine Output Of Speaker Adapters

Listening pleasure is dependent on the sound of your device. Movies and whatever videos you are watching will never give you satisfaction without an audible and crisp sound. Would good sound be dependent on the device’s speaker? Or do speaker adapters contribute to the quality of sound delivered by the device? Many listeners are not aware on the role of speaker adapters, cables or terminals. Even the best and most expensive types of speakers will not deliver good sound with poor quality cables and connectors.

The speaker cables and speaker terminals are important links to any video viewing system. Inappropriate cable wires will adversely affect the sound delivered by the device. You might think that a cable’s worth is negligible. That is such a big blunder! The sound of the equipment is dependent on speaker quality which in turn is highly reliant on the quality of speaker adapter, cable and terminal.

You should know basic information on speaker adapters. The major factors affecting the speaker connectors are polarity and gauge. Do you know that each of your speakers (aren’t there two?) has a need for two lead interconnections to positive and negative ends of the receiver?

Polarity

Incorrect polarity will cause the speaker to be out-of-phase with the rest of the device. This is the reason why most speaker terminals, -ve and +ve, are color coded black and red, respectively. It is imperative that the required polarity be observed especially if the device is a multi-channel system such as a home theater. This equipment has surround sound where the quality of the audio is primarily essential. As such the polarity of the speaker adapters needs to be optimal.

Gauge

The wire in the speaker adapter or cable is measured by its gauge, which incidentally tells of the inherent thickness of the wire. The given normal thickness for wire is 18 to 10. The smaller the gauge number is, the thicker is the copper conductor of the wire. And the thicker it is, the better is the capacity to transmit amplified audio signal. Most speakers are equipped with gauge 18 and as this is quite thin, it can only be used optimally for short distance not exceeding 25 feet. For farther distance, a thicker wire gauge is recommended. This implies that your speaker gauge is dependent on the speaker wire length. The relationship of gauge and distance is given such as – less than 50 feet distance would require gauge 16, 50 to 100 feet distance would require gauge 14, 100 to 150 feet needs gauge 12 and more than 150 feet will command a gauge 10. The minimum recommended wire gauge for short distances is gauge 16 .

The guide to length factor is important in determining the quality output of the speaker. Many experts on this information recommend the adjustment to use the next higher gauge but choose one with 6 and 4 Ohms impedance speaker load.

Whenever it is time for you to choose a speaker adapter, be reminded of the guideline on the correct polarity and gauge of the cable or wire. Your audio device output as well as the speakers will not be able to deliver good sound unless you have chosen the right cable on the basis of polarity and gauge.

The Functionality Of S-Video Audio To 3 RCA Adapter Cable

Cable, connector, adapter – do they have the same function? What does the S video audio to 3 RCA adapter cable do? While it is true that connectors were a breakthrough in linking one device to another (savings wise- you do not need to buy a new kind), the number of connectors available today can be very confusing. You must be technology savvy to know the uses of each of the different kinds of connectors and their applications. The S video audio to 3 RCA adapter cable may sound like a totally alien thing. Most cables seem to be identical and some uses are unknown.

An S video is actually “separate video”. It is also called Y/C and may even be incorrectly tagged as super video. An S video cable is an analog video signal. Its function is to transmit video data as two separate signals, hence the name separate video. The two separate signals are the luma (luminance) and the chroma (color). The S video is concerned with the video – the picture quality which can be typically 480i or 576i resolution. Since S video does not carry an audio feature, there would be a need for another cable for the sound.

RCA connector on the other hand is also called phono or cinch connector. This is a type of electrical connector that is used to carry audio and video signals. RCA is a derivative of Radio Corporation of America. RCA is a company that introduced a design that allowed the connection between the phonograph and the amplifier.

It is good to understand one high capability connector – the S-video audio to 3 RCA adapter/connector. The design of the S-video to 3 RCA adapter is an ultimate solution to both the audio and video features. These kinds of cables or adapters can have different lengths – 6, 12 and 24 feet. There are also known as s-video/RCA adapter/adaptor.

The cable fits either of the 7 pin or 4 pin jacks of laptops. Even DVDs can be plugged with this 4 pin and 7 pin connectors and the cable will definitely allow the passing of color. The adapters are designed to have compatibility with standard S-Video/SVHS jacks. It can also be noted that the Pro S-video & audio to 3 RCA versions has features of the video and audio connections on one sole Siamese coaxial cable.

Applications of the S-video audio to 3 RCA

This connector is used on a laptop’s DVD-ROM S-video port to a regular television set.

This can also be used to connect both the computer’s sound card and S-video out to a regular television.

Use the adapter to connect a laptop to any of the hotel’s television and feel at home while in a hotel.

With this adapter, there is no need to buy another DVD or there is no need to replace your regular television with an S-video television.

Innovations and inventions of different connectors, cables or adapters can upgrade your viewing system without replacing your main device – the television. The S-video audio to 3 RCA is a valuable connector to achieve a good viewing system for the various existing appliances.

Almost every house now has a computer. And every working person has invested on a laptop. These computers are not only for computing or internet needs. They have ultimately been used as audio device. Listening to good music via the computer is additional feature of the computer. This makes the computer really multi-functional. How can the computer be used as audio equipment? Audio adapters have been invented to provide all solutions to man’s demand for audio and video facilities.

Take the case of the Universal Serial Bus (USB). This small device has become a power house. It is an effective means to link your sound to a computer or iMac. The USB port is used in lieu of a sound card. This audio adapter has been favored primarily because of its size – so small it can be easily kept and stored. It is a stand out because it is very portable. If you are always on the move – very mobile, this device can be appropriate for you. This is a great complement to whatever peripherals you might have. With this audio adapter, you do not need to bring along a power supply. The USB audio adapter draws its power from the computer’s USB port. Another good feature of the USB device is its hot-plugging connection where you can just pop it in and it will be immediately detected by plug-n-play compatible system without requiring it to reboot. This is a plug-n-play device so its installation is simple and easily done. This adapter can be used in variety of ways including internet conferencing, dictation, volume control and recording CD’s.

The USB adapter has distinguished features so it is given big preference.

Better quality sound – When the USB cable or adapter is used. The signals are digitally transmitted from the computer. This results to a more superior sound than what is normally received from the built-in sound card.

High frequency sound and noise from other sources can affect the quality of audio given out by the sound card. In the USB, whatever noise from outside sources is not adversely affected.

When you change the location of the source of sound – from the sound card to the USB adapter, a clearer and better audio sound is attained.

By using the USB port, a slot in the computer has been made free. The PCI and ESA slots become free and can be used by other cards.
